Windows 11 Bluetooth Not Working

Before moving forward, check and make sure, your device supports Bluetooth, and Bluetooth is turn on your device.

To check if your system supports Bluetooth, open the device manager, expand the Bluetooth section.If you find the devices listed here, your computer most likely supports Bluetooth.

You can check and enable or disable Bluetooth on Windows 11 following the steps below.

Press Windows key + I to open SettingsGo to Bluetooth & devices, then check if the Bluetooth shows the On button. If it isn’t, just enable it.

Make sure airplane mode is off : Select the Network icon on the right side of the taskbar, then make sure the Airplane mode quick setting is turned off. Also, make sure that the Bluetooth device you wish to pair is in range of your Windows PC.

Restart Bluetooth Support Service

If due to any reason, Bluetooth Support Service not started or stuck running you may encounter Bluetooth not working issue on Windows 11. Let’s check and start the Bluetooth support service if that’s the case of your PC by following steps below.

Press Windows key + R, type services.msc and click ok, This will open windows services console,scroll down and locate the Bluetooth Support Service, right-click on it select restart.In addition double click on Bluetooth Support Service to open its properties,In the pop-up window, change the startup type automatic Then click Apply > OK.Now check if you should be able to pair your device and use it normally.

Run Bluetooth troubleshooter

Windows 11 has built-in Bluetooth troubleshooter, and running the troubleshooter automatically detects problems causing Bluetooth not working or Bluetooth keeps disconnecting and try to fix them. Let’s run the troubleshooter and let windows 11 fix the problem itself. To run the Bluetooth troubleshooter on Windows 11:

Press Windows key + I together to open settings,Click on the system on left panel, then troubleshootClick on other troubleshooters, locate the Bluetooth option then click on run

Follow on-screen instructions to complete the diagnosis process, once done restart your PC.Now check if the Bluetooth function properly or there is no more problem occurring.

Update your Bluetooth driver

Outdated or faulty Bluetooth driver is one most common reason behind Bluetooth is not available on this device or Bluetooth keeps disconnecting on windows 11. Let’s update the Bluetooth driver with the latest version that probably fix the problem for you.

Press Windows key + R, type devmgmt.msc and click ok to open device manager,Expand Bluetooth section, right-click on installed Bluetooth driver select update driver,Select Search automatically for drivers and follow on-screen instructions to allow windows update download and install the latest Bluetooth driver for you.

Reinstall Bluetooth drivers in Windows 11

Again If you can turn on Bluetooth and the pairing device is in range but still having problems, then try to uninstall the Bluetooth adapter and trigger an automatic reinstall.

Press Windows key + S, type device manager and select the first search result,Locate and expand the Bluetooth section, right-click on the Bluetooth adapter name, and select Uninstall device.Click uninstall again if prompt for confirmation and reboot your PC

If you restart and Windows doesn’t reinstall the driver automatically, open Device Manager and select Action > Scan for hardware changes. Still, your system doesn’t find a new driver: visit the website of your device manufacturer, then search for your device model.download the latest driver that’s compatible with your operating system. Once downloaded, open the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.

Pair Bluetooth device again

Still need help, lets’s remove the Bluetooth device and pair it again following the steps below.

Press Windows key + S and type cmd, Right-click on command prompt select run as administrator,Now in the black command prompt window type command sfc /scannow and hit the enter key,Windows will scan your system for corrupted files, and attempt to fix any it finds.Let the scanning process 100% complete, once done reboot your PC and check if this helps.

Open settings then Bluetooth & devices,Select the device you wish to remove and click the Remove device button.Click yes if prompt for confirmation.

Pair Bluetooth device on windows 11:

Press Windows key + I to open settings,Click Bluetooth & devices, In the right panel click Add deviceNext, select Bluetooth and make sure your Bluetooth device is turned on and discoverable.

wait for the device to show up in the list, click the device you want to pair and wait for a while.It should be appeared as Connected or Paired.
